Rosemary and Chunxu Hu ambassadors of 2018 Shangri-La International Duathlon Challenge
Nordic Ways is very pleased to announce that Rosemary and Hu Chunxu have been the spokesman for the 2018 Shangri-La International Duathlon Challenge. Both are very active and influential people in China’s triathlon.
Rosemary, hearty and modest, is a Chinese triathlon athlete. She has had a deep passion for triathlon since many years. In 2008, she began to devote herself to the triathlon scene and promote it in China with all her heart. She took part in many races in mainland China and Hong Kong
, and won a podium place frequently. Rose established the GD Pioneer Triathlon Club in 2011 and registered it in China Triathlon Sports Association in the next year. Besides events in mainland China, Rosemary has raced abroad since 2010, such as in Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan and so on. Also, she established the first triathlon association in Guangzhou in 2016, aiming to promote triathlon in Guangdong province. With activities in and between teams, both hobby and more professional participants can enjoy triathlon. Rosemary and her association is well-known and play an important role in the South China triathlon community.
Chunxu Hu, once was a fatty with 175cm height and 90kg weight, addicted to computer games. But a cycling trip to Tibet changed his life. He got involed with triathlon in 2012 and was attracted to this challenging sport. From then on, Hu has joint many triathlon events all over the world aimed at IRONMAN Kona. Finally, his dream came true in 2015. Later, he established the Global Triathlon to promote triathlon in China.
Chunxu Hu is the first Chinese athlete who completes all four famous triathlon events in the world, 2014 Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon, 2015 IRONMAN Kona, 2016 Challenge Roth and 2017 Norseman Xtreme Triathlon. What’s more, he is the third Chinese who finishes the IRONMAN in 10 hours, and the fastest Chinese runner in the 42.195km running of IRONMAN. Hu is the leader in Chinese triathlon participants, and was shortlisted for the 2015 CCTV-5 Sports Hero.
To achieve the ambitions above, it only took 4 years for Chunxu Hu. In fact, in these years, besides the training, he has been working on his career and promotedHell triathlon in China, with great perseverance and passion.
