Take the event bus from Kunming to Shangri La!

It is easy to get to the Shangri La Duathlon Challenge. There is of course a number of domestic flights from Kunming, Chengdu etc to Shangri La, but if you do no wish to fly you can also take our FREE event bus from Kunming to Shangri La on Friday and return on Monday. If you are in Lijiang, we have a bus for you also.

This is a long drive of up to 10 hours, but it’s nearly all highway and the views and scenery are progressively beautiful. The service is for free, but you do need to sign up in advance. The bus from Kunming leaves at 7 am on Friday morning and returns on Monday morning from Shangri La.
